Dear Student Employees,
Your Blackboard access may have changed.
This spring you might experience, or may have already experienced, your Blackboard access switching between your student and faculty/staff NetIDs. This change is due to an automated process that is influenced by whether or not you are enrolled in courses this summer or if your employment status with UTA has changed.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. The process that caused this change is currently under review.
If you experience any difficulty accessing Blackboard, please try both of your NetIDs.
Your faculty/staff NetID can be found by going to www.uta.edu/accountinfo. Log in with your student NetID and password.
To activate a faculty/staff NetID, please go to www.uta.edu/activate and fill out the fields with your faculty/staff netID and your default password.
The default password for activation is in the following format:
Uppercase first letter of last name-last 6 digits of student ID number-four digit birth year
Ex: Blaze Maverick, student ID 1000123456, born in 1895 will have a default password of: M-123456-1895
Always make sure that your chosen password is 8-15 characters long with no white space.

Malicious phishing attempts designed to steal NetIDs and passwords were sent to faculty, staff, and student email accounts. Please do not respond to any emails that asks you to validate your account information. Faculty, staff, and students should visit the phishing website to view the recent phishing examples and prevention tips. If you responded to a spam or phishing scheme by submitting your UTA password, immediately change your password and security questions. Please forward all spam and phishing emails to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
